Glorious morning!

This morning’s quote will be from an amazing soul, Mahatma Gandhi.

You must be the change you wish to see in the world “

Lets expand on what this means, but first a little about the man behind the quote. He was born in 1869 and died in 1948. He was an Indian independence activist.. He was also a lawyer. He employed nonviolent resistance to lead successful campaigns for India's independence from British rule. He was a man that didn't just talk the talk but walked the walk. His very life was the definition of the quote we are expanding on today.

What this quote says to me is, we can complain and whine day and night about all of the horrific things that people on the planet perform in the name of EGO and darkness, but that only acknowledges the bad stuff. It does nothing to change it. Same goes for our own lives. We can whine and complain about how unfair things are that happen to us or how unhappy we are in our marriage or friendships or job, and that's great to bring it to our awareness . Are we doing anything about it? When we habitually get into the habit of complaining about the “ wrongs “ in life and do nothing to change them, then we only add to the collective negativity on the planet. When we actually take action to change things we don't like, things that our soul is prompting us to change, we can witness the change. Waiting for the change to happen without personal action is like waiting for a flower to bloom after putting it in a closet. You can wish and hope and complain as much as you want but that flower will not bloom unless you take action in the process of what is needed for the flower to bloom and expand. Sunlight. A simple action step of taking the flower out of the closet will produce a beautiful positive result. All it takes is a little thought for a solution and then a little action. We need to apply that in every challenge in our lives and the collective lives on the planet.

Being a part of the solution requires the willingness to change what you don't like. It is also powerful when we don't expect help to change what we don't like, why? Self empowerment is key to stop your complaining. Do we need help from time to time to change certain things in our lives or the world? Yes. Help comes when we initiate the change and it comes in an interdependent way instead of a co dependent way. If we whine and whine about something and someone changes it to shut us up so they don't have to hear us anymore, then that's a form of manipulation. That’s not stepping into your own power and taking action. When we invoke help while taking action it forms interdependence.

All great leaders took action and people followed their lead. Positive action is contagious and carries a high vibration. Whining and manipulation is a very low vibration. What we vibrate we attract more of. Gandhi attracted thousands and thousands of followers for good reason. He was a man of action not whining. He was the change that he wanted to see more of in the world.

One of my dear family members was someone who was afraid to take action and change his life, he really wanted to but struggled taking action to change his circumstances. Eventually his challenges got so big, he started running from them in the form of drinking alcohol. He used alcohol like millions of people, for the reasons of escapism. This went on for decades and eventually the alcohol overpowered him, instead of him overpowering it. I know if he took action towards the negative things in his life that he was experiencing, and faced his fears, he would still be here today.

Do you have trouble being the change you want to see in your life? Do you struggle taking the necessary steps to create that change? I can help you identify what is holding you back. Make a free discovery call today. Peace be with you, Dawn
