Glorious morning!
Have you ever heard of mahatma Ghandi? I first learned of him through a quote I saw. Isn't it interesting that “ famous “ quotes often come from wisdom filled gurus, teachers, entrepreneurs and activists. People who had a thirst for knowledge , truth and learning. Mahatma Ghandi was was born in 1869. He was a lawyer, politician, and later became a social activist in the name of peace. His teachings were of non violence, compassion, tolerance and equality. He was known to his followers as a great soul. He was assassinated like other great activists. Who else could assassinate someone, but a person who has no love in them. Although he was taken away from the people, his soul filled teachings still resonate and inspire millions. Today, let’s expand together on his quote
“ Where there is love, there is life”
What this speaks to me is that love is the existence of life itself. Nothing survives without light. To me love is light. Light is energy. Everything would wither away and die without the light of the sun. You can't see in the darkness without light. A newborn baby who is not shown love can not develop normally. Love is an all powerful force that sustains life. We can't connect with other human beings without it, we would just be indifferent to everyone and be robotic, Yikes! It's pretty safe to say that without love we would all eventually perish. Love keeps us moving forward, love motivates us to give of ourselves. Life is meaningless without a love connection. Love is so powerful that if you physically abused a child or a dog, less than 1 second later they would still love you, even if you were not sorry, wow, pretty powerful and worthy of reverence. Love really is the most important thing we have. How about you? Do you believe love = life?
Have you ever seen a stranger just pull over after seeing an accident and start helping victims of the crash? Maybe you have done that before. When you feel compelled to help someone you have never even met, without being asked, is proof what a powerful driving force Love can be. What about giving your life for another? That can only be driven by love. Here are a couple of true stories that will touch the love in you. In August 2018 a passenger boat carrying 24 people crashed into an object on the waterways of River state Nigeria. The boat capsized, throwing the people overboard. Without hesitation, Joseph Blankson dove into the waters. As soon as the 36 year old saved one person, he would go back to save another. One by one, Blankson pulled 13 people to safety. Sadly, while attempting to save the 14th soul, he succumbed to fatigue and drowned. Joseph’s heroic sacrifice meant that he was the only fatality that day. He was a husband and father of 3 young children. Another heroic ( happy ending ) story belongs to Danny Walls, who saw A 6 year old boy screaming and his mother desperately trying to remove a rabid raccoon that was attacking him. As she was screaming for help, The selfless quick thinking Danny Walls grabbed a 10-foot fiberglass pole from the work truck he drives and used it to beat the screeching raccoon to death. Although the boy was bitten up, needed stitches and a series of rabies vaccinations, he will live a normal life. The raccoon was found to have rabies. What a blessing Danny was to that mother and child that day. All in the name of love. Where there is love there is life for sure! Love motivates more love, and that makes the world go round.
Some of us were blessed with being born to parents who were able to show us love and therefore we can show love. There are also many people who might not have had that example of love and struggle giving and receiving love. If you find yourself craving love or trouble expressing your love to others, I can help bring clarity to why and start you on your own self journey to love. Schedule your free discovery call today.
