Why Are We Here?

Glorious morning!
Today let’s talk about why we are here. This quote should stir our minds a bit. It’s from Woodrow Wilson.
“ You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget that errand “ Errand, Hmmmmmmm? Let’s look at the definition for the word errand. “ A short trip taken to perform a specified task, usually for another” Well that makes me think that we did not just come to earth to work a 9 to 5 , go on a few vacations, fight with our family from time to time and then get old and decrepit and die. I mean what in the world does that accomplish?

For most of the people reading this newsletter, you know there is a far greater task at hand and goes far beyond the mundane existence. Yet, there are many still walking around glued to their phones and televisions after they have worked a full day and then eat , go to bed, and repeat. When we really contemplate the question “ why are we here “ we need to take into consideration the rest of the world. I mean there are billions of us, surely we at least came to share this planet and if we can agree on that , let’s take it a step further. If we are to share this magnificent land then that means cohabitating together. If we are to live and share together, then naturally we are here to help one another along our path.

If we are really one big human family then we would need to learn the art of getting along, and sharing. I believe we all have our little family units as practice to grow and prepare ourselves for sharing with our bigger family. Humanity. The definition of humanity is “The quality of being humane “ . Let’s examine the definition of humane. “ Characterized by kindness, mercy, or compassion”. So I am gathering from the meaning of just the word humanity and humane, we are a species of beings ( human being ) that are to show kindness, mercy and compassion to all. I'm thinking we need some lessons on how to do that right?. Christ mastered how to be a human being.

You see if we do not get out, branch out and reach outside of our everyday life , we don't grow and expand and then we certainly don't contribute to the human family very much, we just get stuck in our own little family. God gave us free will and it is a choice that we make if we want to include the human race as our family and not just our immediate family. For years I did what all of us do and I was in my own little world with my husband and 3 children. Basically my life revolved around them and them alone. As I started searching my soul with the question of “ why are we here?” I realized this life is a test to see if we can love and respect the human population JUST AS MUCH as our own little family unit. That task alone is big one and qualifies to be called a mission in my opinion.

My personal mission no longer just includes focusing on my little family, it includes helping humanity with the gifts I was graced with. Everyone has been graced with unique gifts to be enjoyed and shared. I have also found that when I was stuck and just focusing on my own little family unit , I wasn't able to work on myself because I was way too busy worrying about them and putting most of my energy and focus on helping them. My own mission was stalled and I didn't even realize it. The day I started to take the time to work on myself and pull away from the obsession to care for my family ( balance is needed) I started to get to know myself better, I got to know the divine better and that helped me hear better.

My soul started to remind me of my mission, your mission, OUR mission. The mission of the collective, the mission of humanity and that's health, wealth and happiness for this one Human family. We all want and need the same things. We all have different gifts that are designed to be unified for the greater good including ourselves. Let's master ourselves like Christ did so we can contribute to our human family. Do you need a little clarity on how to get unstuck in the co-dependent loop of family life?
