Have no fear
Have no fear

Glorious morning!

Today I would like to expand on a quote from Budda.

” The whole secret of existence is to have no fear “

Easier said than done, yes? If any of you are still watching the news, the challenge to live a fearless life gets even harder. The images and story lines are all fear based. Any good news they show is extremely rare and they only throw it in every now and then to keep you watching them in the first place. Kind of like giving a prisoner of war half a meal a day to keep them just barely alive. That's how I view the propaganda box, oh, sorry, I mean the television news stations.

Fear and God are complete opposites. When we allow fear to well up inside of us, we are basically walking further away from the power of God. Fear is darkness. Love is light. The only thing that overcomes the darkness is light. Fear can only come in handy when we are in danger and it is serving as an alarm system to the body for focus and survival, but even in those circumstances if you don't manage the fear as it’s happening it can interfere with saving yourself or someone else in a dire situation. When fear is not kept in check it can be crippling. Allowing fear to swim around in our minds long enough, it triggers physiological responses, such as increased heart rate, constriction of blood vessels, stimulates the hypothalamus and pituitary glands which signal the production of adrenaline. It also stimulates cortisol production. Holy cow right?

I mean what a production that goes on behind the scenes when we entertain fear. Of course the response can be life saving in a life threatening situation but let's face it, how often are we even in them? Besides fear becoming crippling and robbing our joy and motivation emotionally, fear can cause massive damage long term to our bodies if we allow it to. Living a fearless life has certainly become a huge goal for me. I already know I can count on my body to support me physiologically to  help me in those kinds of dangerous situations, so now I only have to overcome any fear that is happening outside of those rare occurrences, in other words, fear has no business being in my life unless I need to use it for survival purposes. What about when fear wants to show itself when I go for a new job interview or if I take a wrong turn and find myself in a bad neighborhood? Do I need to allow the fear response to flood through my body as if I'm being attacked? Of course not, that is unnecessary abuse on my system. The only way to not allow fear to take over is for me to control my mind.

There are two scenarios for the job interview. I either start THINKING “ oh I hope they like me”, “I hope I don't screw up”,” if I don't get the job I will be so upset “ and let worrisome thoughts become my companions on the way to the interview or I can choose thoughts like “ I am so excited for my new future opening up. “ “ Thank you God for this opportunity” Hey, if I don't get the job, it's meant to be because a better one is waiting just around the corner”  We are presented with these scenarios everyday and how we choose to respond determines how much power fear will have over us at any given moment. We are in control of fear, not the other way around. There are plenty of days where fear creeps into my head about my financial future and I simply combat it every time with positive affirming thoughts.

Working on my full length version of my book the fears come up because although I can see myself as an author because I have proved it to myself, but seeing myself as a published author is something I have not proven YET. Fear would say “ there are no published authors in your family, that's for “other” people” But I say “ I will be the first ! “ If I keep saying that and don't give in, the results must turn out in my favor just by the law of attraction alone. We really do have so much control over our own lives than we realize. If Buddah believes the whole secret to life is having no fear, then conquering it must become our passion. Are you frequently overcome by fear and it is stopping your progress in life ? Backpack therapy can help identify those fears. Make a free discovery call today. Peace be with you, Dawn
