Glorious morning!
As I was writing my blog this morning I deleted it by accident as soon as I finished. OOOPPPS! Today let's re vist one of my blogs.
Let us expand on an awesome quote by Martin Luther King Jr.
“ Darkness cant drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate can not drive out hate, only love can do that “
Martin Luther King Jr was born in 1929 and died in 1968. He was an American baptist minister, activist, and political philosopher. He was one of the most prominent leaders in the civil rights movement. All of his work was always done with non violence. He knew full well to get anything done that was of meaning and significance meant taking the high road of light to gain support and touch people's hearts. Unfortunately his assassin did the opposite of Martin Luther King Jr’s quote.

What his quote says to me is, when you use anger, force or hatred, you ignite more of the same. The darkness only grows when more darkness is added, likewise about the light. Responding to situations with light, not only brings the light into dark circumstances, but it can even help heal the darkness in others. Now that's powerful! When he speaks about the light and love in the quote, I feel light and love are the same thing to each other . When he speaks of darkness and hate, again, I feel they are the same things to each other as well.

History has shown time and time again that hatred starts division between people, and being that we are one human family, that division makes us weaker. Being divided makes people look at one another as enemies instead of potential allies. When we realize that we are all equals, then there is no need for competition, there is no need for greed. There is no need to focus on differences. When we realize we are one, we treat others how we want to be treated. We give what we would want to receive. A child does not know how to hate. They must be taught that. If you look back in time at the dark ages, the use of complete control over others was commonplace. We have certainly come a long way because of the changes made in our hearts and spreading more humane practices.

As a collective we have learned from the dark side of history and made great strides in changing that darkness into light. I feel that it is growing. More and more people are waking up to the fact that we need to take care of each other and give what we want.
I grew up in the 70's and my dad at the time was a bit judgemental of others ethnicity because he grew up in a time where they encouraged it openly through segregation. I can safely say my siblings and I did not adopt his views and opinions because we didn't live in the same world he had grown up in. My father also eventually woke up out of that conditioning. Segregation was not our reality in school. Thank goodness!

So humanity has been evolving for the better because of people like Martin Luther King Jr, and many other light workers who were always preaching that love and light is the only way to live. Anyone today who is spreading hate or hurting their fellow human beings, is clearly lacking light within themselves. They have obviously been shown darkness and have not healed it. I knew kids in school who were always looking to hurt or pick on other kids, I now know that some of them grew up in homes where a lot of darkness was going on, and that was their reality of their world at the time. Children live what they learn, so the importance of spreading and shining light in the darkness is crucial. The ones who have not been shown the way need light workers
